lucky day...
today... was a GREAT day... first of all, for the first time since i started going to MINDEF for my vacation attachment, the buses i had to take to get there came the moment i got to the busstop. FWAH. considering the number of times i saw the bus fly by as i was crossing the road to the busstop (not yet at the stoppie yet but ALMOST THERE), this could be considered a miracle.
then, i met rucy after work, which always makes me feel like the luckiest guy in the world. :)
then... divine intervention... me and rucy were queing for tickets to Poseidon cos we thought tix to the Da Vinci Code would definitely be sold out (and they were) . then, some guy came down the line, asking people one by one, "want tickets to the da vinci code? it's showing now." there were some DUMBASSES with their brains up their butts probably, who were in the line before us but refused. then, he went down the line, and he asked us, i said OK (OF COURSE I WOULD!!!!) then he said it's showing now and he has spare tickets so he was giving away these tix FREE. WWWWHHHHOOOOO HHHOOOOOO!!!!! not only did the tickets come free, it turned out they came with popcorn, ALSO FREE!!! so... that means... $19 for our two tix, and $14 for the popcorn if we had paid for it, all for just saying OK!!!! Fwah, this has got to be the best day of my life. the cinema was full of execs and other yuppies (prob the company bought two tix for everyone and booked the cinema or something) but.... WHO GIVES A SHIT? me and my baby, got in FREE. haha. fantastic. :)
on the way back i told the cabby about my luck that day and he said i should buy the numbers 8887. anybody wanna give it a shot? :)
p.s. the show really is quite good despite what all the critics said so go catch it. critics only fight for that bit of printing place in the sunday paper so they can take their criticisms and shove it. better to read the book first though.
